Hello all,

I recently encountered a problem. While replacing my rear window motor, I had to undo the cables for the tailgate handle. Now the gate seems to be stuck locked. Not sure if something broke or something fell off, But i've posted a picture below of what it looks like now.

If anyone sees anything missing, please let me know!!

Or what could potentially be the problem.

No one has any input on this???? Or even a picture of what it's supposed to look like... I know something is wrong with mine..

I had a problem with mine and I cant see yours, but where it has the "51" or "5J" stamped into the stud that is reading upside down in the picture, almost in the center of the picture. Underneath that white tab, see if there is a stud like thing that isnt broken off. Right now I have mine fixed temporarily with a sheet metal screw just to get it operating. Other then that, I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Are your cables operating freely? I had to replace mine as they would not operate.

Looks like a first gen tailgate, but the second gen tailgate cables are identical if you need to replace them.
