Rear Oil Seal Question

What is the best way to replace a rear seal by removing the engine out or remove the transmission out to replace the rear seal?

Hmmm

I've found it's easier to take out the tranny than to remove the engine. It's easier to work on with the engine out, but more trouble to take the engine out than the trans. So if you don't mind workin on yer back.

I would say transmission removal but it depends on what you are most comfortable with and mainly what other preventive services do you need to perform and would they be easier one way or the other.
