rear main seal replacement

Alright I am gonna admit right outta the gate I didn`t use the search feature on the forums so don`t flame me. I am in a super hurry and am trying to figure out what to do. I will search after I post this in hopes you can answer faster than I can find it.

I am replacing the rear main seal. It didnt leak at all but rather the housing holding it leaks. Moreover it leaks on the surface that mates to the oil pan gasket does. When I removed tghe housing there wasnt a gasket on the bottom. Just sealer. and the bottom 2 bolts or the oil pan bolts were loose.

I went to the local napa and the broad behind the coun ter showed me a pic of the oil pan gasket. The actual gasket covers the spot under the seal housing. So should I replace the entire oil pan gasket or just add sealer to the bottom of the housing and reinstall?
