Hi All,

I just bought a 88 4runner and im trying to replace the rear shocks. Looks like what is on it are some Gabriel G63494 Ultra Truck Shocks.

It looks like the rear shackle is a pretty big lift, it measures 9" center to center. I cant tell if anything else was done to the rear but it looks like it was just the shackle replacement in order to eliminate the rear sag.

Front of the truck is totally stock.

I was looking to replace my shocks with some bilstein's:

24-011402 for rear
24-013396 for front

Does this seem like it will work? Any suggestions on what i have and what i need to replace would be more than appreciated. At a bit of a loss on this one since this is my first 4runner (Yeah!)

Im trying to send a pic of the shackle but trying to get it resized is a bit of a problem at the moment. As soon as i resize it from my phone ill give it a shot.

yeah i was checking out that mod. guess what i am curious is what was done on my 4runner. the rear shackle is 9" long center to center and im wondering if this was custom or a stock kit, etc? looks like the shocks on it now are original specs and wondering if i should replace them will the same specs as a stock original considering the back end has been lifted up? hope this makes sense.
