Rear Leaf Compatability

What year toyota trucks and models have rear leafs that are compatible with my 86 4runner. I have rear sag and all the salvage yards have 4runners with rear sag. Salvage yards are the only way to remedy my sag for 50 bucks. I figure I will have better luck with a pick-up due to less weight.

Research doing a shackle lift just to get rid of the rear sag. That'll run you about $50 as well.

Roger Brown sells/produces shackle lifts (www.4crawler.com)
as does RuffStuff Specialties (www.RuffStuffSpecialties.com)

I know that the rear shocks for 86-89 4runners and 86-95 trucks are the same model, so I'd imagine the springs are around the same or pretty darn close. But unless you can find some aftermarket springs on a truck at a wrecker, your chances of finding stock springs in good shape may be fruitless.

be glad you don't have a 4inch suspension lift I have one with blocks and want to get rid of the blocks talking bocu bucks for the rear springs.

I hate the ride I have now I hit a bump and I am air born after I had put some 20$ helper coils from auto zone on the rear took out the sag but it is very bouncy now
and all I want is a smother ride, on the highway it is like riding on a boat in choppy water and I have to drive on the highway every day to get to town.
