rear brake proportioning valve lift bracket
I made a bracket that lifts the brake proportioning valve arm an inch and a half to accommodate my OME rear springs and it makes a LOT of difference. It feels much better with the bracket in place. The truck no longer pitches forward during a hard stop. Best cheap mod yet. I'll post pictures in the morning.

I wouldnt really call this a "mod"........ its a piece of flat bar
More of a safety requirement for any toyota lifted over about 2 inches. I usually recommend removing the LPSV completely and replacing with a proportioning valve like the one from summit. It simplifies your braking system (eliminating the return brake line and LPSV) and cleans up your rear end

Haha. Its totally a mod. There are cup holder mods, so this has to be a mod. Its just a complimentary mod to a 1.5" lift where you can get by with out it. It does really improve braking performance. I was skeptical about it actually doing much, until I tried it.

Matt's right, I did it on my '94 and it does enough good to call it a mod. Now if I was ballsy enough to completely remove the LSPV and replace it with a manual proportioning valve, I'd do that "mod" instead I get nervous with brake systems since I do depend on them daily.

replacing it is a piece of cake.
Im not going to do the work for you so search for "rear disc conversion" and you'll either come across my writeup or Elvotas, either way you want to land on Elvotas as he clearly outlines the PART NUMBERS from summit to do this LSPV replacement.
