Re: Replacement for Power Antenna

Hello, nice forum you folks have here. I recently purchased an '89 Toyota SR5 Pickup and was looking for a non-motorized replacement for my power antenna (it is currently extended and works great as is, but the motor no longer works and it will not lower manually ). Here is what I am looking to do:

I have a cover for the truck, but the extended antenna is the only thing that gets in the way of me being able to completely cover the truck, what I am looking for is either a new short antenna to replace it with or find a non-motorized antenna that I could manually lower and extend as needed. Either would fix the problem for me. I also would prefer an option with very little modification required.

Thanks in advance

get a factory non power antenna. then you can just unscrew the top when you want to cover it. does require fender removal to install. soak all yout bolts in pbblaster for a week so they dont break.
