radio help

i have an aftermarket jvc head unit. when the truck is in acc or even when the key is out it works, but when i turn the truck on it just flashes and doesnt turn on. help please!

re check your wiring it sounds like you have inverted one wire

well i got it to work while the truck is running but it still works while there is no key in the truck.

Your accessory power wire must be hooked up to a full time power wire, and not an accessory power wire.

Yup, it needs constant power for the memory.
Find a switched hot wire for power.
Find a constant hot for the memory.
