hey i was driving down the road the other day and my car died its a 94 4runner and i pulled over and looked to see what was wrong and where the radiator hose comes out of the ratiator its came unwelded has anyone ever had this happen well now i have the weird tapping noise it sounds like the valves but louder is that what it could be since there is probable not much water in the block? just like the sound echoing through all the water chambers?

Did the engine temp go way up. You may have overheated and caused some internal damage.

well the temp was the same the whole time untill i shut it off the it releaved its self with a massive cloud of steam but i think since that broke off there was not enough presure to blow a head gasket and we have started in since and its not leaking there so like i said we are going to try a new radiator and see what happens but by all means leave me any thoughts anyone has everything will help

replace the radiator and make sure you do a good job of bleeding the cooling system. Fire it up and hope it runs like a champ!
