R151F

A 4WD transmission found in only two model years of Toyota trucks(not available in 4runners). [Turbo 22-RTE 1986 and 1987] Also 1KZ-TE Prado Landcruiser 9?-96. (also in 1KZ/T Hilux Surfs 93-95)

Ratios:

First Gear: 4.313:1
Second Gear: 2.330:1
Third Gear: 1.436:1
Fourth Gear: 1.00:1
Fifth Gear: 0.836:1

The RE and RTE both use the same block so it will bolt up fine to the motor. However, I think the RTE used a different clutch. The clutch in your truck may or may not work with that trans.

Yeah I think you need the 22rte specific clutch. But I think 92 and up 22re works too.

Clutch disk size is the difference in the turbo clutch, the rest is the same. The turbo clutch and flywheel are a great upgrade for any 4 banger truck. The output on the 151F is 23 spline to your stock case's 21, so you'll need to swap in another input gear or find a turbo case to swap in with the new trans. Swapping to 23 spline 4.7 gears in your case would be an option as well.
