R.i.p 86 4runner - Vancouver, wa, anyone need parts?
My 4runner died this morning... lost power, stalled out, when restarted it was sputtering... fealt/sounded like I lost a bearing... by the time I got it home (2 miles) it was overheating.
Don't have the time to rebuild the engine myself, cant afford to pay someone to do it... So I am gonna part it out.
White, most body panels are in pretty decent condition, back is a little dinged. Paint is shiny and reflective.
Frame is in decent condition, its been a Cali truck all its life, so its not full of cancer.
Passed cali smog (4 months ago) and washington emissions (last week).
TONS of new parts on it, nearly 4k of reciepts for new parts I put in it over the past 6 months.
32" tires, still have the rubber tabs on it.
Would like to sell it whole, but I know I cant get a decent price for it... So if you need some parts, drop me an email. I hate the idea of selling it, but I need to get some $$ to buy a new vehicle ASAP.
If anyone sees a 4runner on a car lot out here that takes payments, let me know.

You set on another 1st gen? Just keep checking Craigslist in the Seattle end if you're willing to drive, been seeing a few at car lots lately.. www.carsoncars.net might still have the one I saw a few weeks ago. If I had money for an extra Runner I would have snatched it up.

You don't have any time to plunk with it and figure out what's wrong before making this sort of decision? Just cause it felt like a bearing (not sure what that would feel like ) doesn't mean it's a bearing. Even then if the crank is okay, changing bearings isn't that hard and can be easily done over a week's time (an hour or so a day).
Can you be a little more specific about the 'feel' and how it's running? I'd hate to see someone give up their ride because of something like a bad coil or....
