I can't help with the part numbers but it would help if we knew what you were working on.

No. The u-joints in the front driveshaft are not all the same. The front u-joint(where the driveshaft bolts to the differential) is a different size than the two u-joints in the double cardan(where the driveshaft bolts to the transfer case).

Rockford #407-10
Spicer #5-2532X

The standard u-joint for the front joint (Differential end of the u-joint) is pretty common and stocked at most parts stores. You may have to order the two needed for the double-cardan (CV Style), but they are available. The dealer will tell you that you have to buy a complete shaft, but you don't. The repair parts are readily available, just not from the dealer as OEM parts.

Note: Precision is now Precision/Moog(but their part numbers haven't changed). And their u-joints are also sold under the Federated brand name(with identical part numbers). Meaning, Federated #513 is also the correct size u-joint for the double cardan.

Hint: DO NOT buy u-joints from AutoZone. They don't fit correctly(in some cases), and the design is flawed. They make them with a zerk fitting that can't be accessed with the u-joint installed. Which means they're greasable(that's a good thing), but you can't grease them once they're installed(WTF? that's retarded).

You're welcome.

Here's the OEM u-joint w/part # for the front of the driveshaft(single cardan joint), if you're interested. FYI, it also fits the rear driveshaft(all positions, exc. double cardan joint if applicable).

IMO, you can't beat the stock u-joints on these rigs. Anything stronger, is too strong(u-joints are cheap to replace when they fail, driveshaft yokes aren't). And none of the aftermarket u-joints I've seen have seals that are as well designed as OEM.

Just call me "OEM Slim" My 90 Truck still has the original joints. I been thinking about replacing them. Thanks.

IMO Precision joints are junk, Spicer is a better choice, just my opinion.
