question about AFM...

i recently purchased an 88 4runner that had idle problem. the timing was way off and the idle had to be adjusted. Now that it idles ok, there is some hesitation under load and acceleration. to make a long story short, everything checks, so that the part i tested right now was the AFM according to 4crawlers website: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...tml#AFMtesting

All the resistance readings are in check except for

e2-vb which shows infinity
e2-tha which shows infinity

All the other pins check out, so tests 3 and 4 fail. Since test 4 failed, that might explain why the truck reponds the same whether cold or hot.

This might be a dumb question, but since the AFM is not in spec, would you suggest replacing it. The Check Engine light hasn't been triggered, so I'm not sure if I should. Any quick responses are appreciated, because i have it apart right now and can pick another afm in the morning. Thanks.
