A Quality Engine Block Heater

I have a 1995 4Runner 3.0 Auto and I'm going to drive to Alaska in the fall so I want to install a block heater before then. Has anyone done this or know of a good place to buy one? I live in Mass and plan on driving through Canada. Any info or insight as to engine block heaters is appreciated.

Dealer has em.

As far as I can tell they are some canadian part in a Toyota box. Its a heating elemet that goes into a freeze plug.

Also get a battery warmer?

theres a bunch of different styles of block heater. Theres the feeeze plug type mentioned above, ones that replace part of your radiator hose with a heating element, blanket styles, dipstick heaters, and many others.

Most vehicles with stock block heaters use the freeze plug type.
