q's about my 89 toyota pickup

ok, I just recently (1 week ago) bought a used 89 toyota v6 pickup that had a bunch of stuff done to it. its got:
4" suspension lift
3" body lift
35" BFG mud terrain tires
front lockers
4x4
performance exhaust
geared down to 4.88 i think, cant remember
skid plate
nice sound system
misc interior stuff
nerf bars
and i think thats it. im mainly into mud bogging, and some trails, not to hard trails though because there arn't any around here. so that means not too much rock crawling. there were a couple mods i was thinking of doing in the future: possibly SAS if i have the money, front/rear bumper, armor, and new airfilter/intake. im really new to offroading, but ive done some research here on the site. id like your guys's opinon about it. what would you guys get first if you are low on money? thanks. heres some pics:

I'd probably strip all the stickers, the body decals, and the visor. Then I'd remove the body lift, pull the nerf bars, and put some stock taillights back on. I'd also probably put the stock "TOYOTA" on the tailgate, or leave it blank. Other than that, I'd probably ditch the mud flaps and the rear bumper.

Well, that's my personal opinion, however, there's a lot of people on here who love body lifts, decals, and altezzas... I don't.

If you're just looking to mud bog (and you like all the decals, visor, body lift, and altezzas), I'd leave it how it is and look at getting a snorkel and water proofing everything. Also, a mud-proof interior (heavy rubber floormats, maybe consider removing the carpet...)

ditch the nerf bars. Either relocate the bumper up or take it off. If you can take the bodylift off...do it...anything over 2" on body is bad IMO. too many decals and stuff for me, but if you like it keep it.

looks like a nice clean truck...hope it treats you well.

Take Off: Nerf Bars, Decals, Visor, Flares, Body Lift, Rear Bumper, And Ghetto skid plate. Was the guy you bought this from named Pedro?

I would probibly re-gear to 5.29 gears, add a rear locker and you're good!
I can't see the pictures for some reason but I wouldnt change much.
I would keep the body lift and the bracket lift you have, you are into mostly bogging they will be perfect for you, no real reason to do a sas unless you are into crawling.

Take off the decals and all the 'ricer' stuff and turn back into a truck. Other than that take off the mudflaps and the rear bumper and keep a ball and drawbar in your hitch reciever at all times. That last part is my own opinion entirely I think 3rd gens look good w/o bumpers, the trailer ball is something besides your body for people to smack into.

I can see the pictures now.

I would remove those flames, and remove and remount your side steps higher up. Or you could remove them and put sliders on, they will provide real protection, but since you are not into crawling it might be a moot point.

The body lift is the most solid modification the truck has. Leave it. The guys that bag on them are complete web wheeleers...

The truck looks pretty good for starters. The tribal decal isn't my thing but if you dig it, leave it.

I'd be more concerned with a rear locker, shiny rims and a new paint job...

It's a nice truck keep it the way it is except for those Decals. Take those off and then enjoy it.

Take the decals off and have it buffed out. It will be a good looking rig. If you are new to wheeling leave the truck as is and learn with what you have. Save the SAS idea for later and see if it is something you really need. Wheel it and have fun!!! Welcome to YT

thanks for all the responses! yeah i will probably remove the tribal decals and the mudflaps. i think gettin rock slides and takin off the nerf bars is a good idea, ill probably do that too. and i forgot to mention that the front lockers have a manual locking thing so i can disengage it, and can i get selectable lockers for the back too? either way i might get them. i just bought some polish stuff that REALLY cleaned up the paint. it took off the oxidized layer, and now it is such a bright, shiney red color. and what would gearing up to 5.29 do for me? thanx for the welcome

The gearing would help with the drivability of the truck. It wouldn't be such a dog while on the highway.

Like the truck man..I would lose the decals and the rear bumper just like the other guys said. But hey at least you don't have rust and rot all over like my rig. I need to replace panels real soon!!!!
