Putting an 84 22R in an 86 Pickup

Hello All,

I am new to this but need some helpful information. I currently have an 86 Toyota Pickup with a bad motor. I also have an opportunity to buy a good 22R complete that came out of a an 84. My question is, will the 84 motor bolt up to the 86 Transmission? Also will I have to chane anything? Please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated.

J.

Oh yeah, definitely get the exhaust manifold with the 84 engine.
They changed the head design in the 85+ engines
