Pulling Out a 3VZE: How to Questions

I'm pulling out the 3.0 V6 on my 1993 pick up. I've got the motor mounts unbolted and now I'm getting ready to unbolt the engine from the transmission. What's the best way to hold the transmission up once I separate the engine from it? It's a manual trans.

Set a floor jack under it to support it.

I like yer idea! Doing it like that will leave me free to lower the front of the vehicle when I'm lifting the engine out
