Which pulley is it?
there is no diagram for the pulleys in my chilton's repair manual so this is a challenge to you yota vets. my truck- 94 4x4 pu w/ 22re. there are three belts between the radiator and the engine. the pulley is on the belt closest to the radiator, and is the highest on the passenger side. it seems not to have any function except to keep the belt on track and spin, but i don't think it's the tensioner because it doesn't look like it can be adjusted. come on guys i have faith in you! thanks

maybe take a photo of yours and edit it pointing at which one you mean so someone else doesn't have to? the highest pulley on the passenger side would be the ac compressor f you have AC and the PS tensioner pulley if you don't have AC. I don't know how the AC belt is adjusted but I can tell you that the power steering belt is adjusted by a bolt on the top of the mount which goes to a rod that moves the pully up and down (more left and right though) tightening and loosening the belt.

the belt closest to the radiator is the PS belt, and it's pulleys are all on the driver's side
it's adjusted by the pulley in the center/top, right in front of the cyl head. loosen the center bolt on the pulley, and then tighten the bolt head that points down and to the right at an angle, on the left of the bracket that the pulley is mounted to (not shown in that picture)

hmmm hehe thought for some stupid reason the ac belt was on the outside, but I don't have AC so how would I know, but the passenger side comment threw me off I guess.

the advantage of get the the dealer one is I believe it comes with a new adjuster bolt as well. But that's a heck of a price difference.

powersteering pump pulley is not the same. that would be on the pump.
what do you mean too small in diameter?
so the one from autozone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...099_4204_7651_ isn't it. it's too small in diameter.

On the idler pulley you can just replace the sealed bearing, instead of buying a new one. The original is better than the aftermarket anyway. The bearing has a snap ring on it and pops out.
