It's most likely a leak in the hydro system.. First thing to do is check if you've got fluid in your clutch master cylinder.

How many miles? The hydro goes out around 140-160K. I just gone done with mine. The master had no more fluid in it, just a lump of black goo. No leaks. It was working but the pedal was sticking to the floor sometimes. The pushrod was all the way out, too. The disk was almost to the rivets. 1/64" remaining.

I'm pretty sure there are no leaks. I guess I should start by opening up the master cylinder?

FFT:
If it still won't disengage, than the clutch is shot. If the disk is burrowed into the damaged flywheel or the disk is rusted (stuck) to the shaft at the spline than it won't disengage. Last edited by timebandit; 01-12-2007 at 08:02 PM. |

I just got done with mine at 145K. $1200 for new clutch kit and cylinders and labor. It it just too cold right now to be under there. And I barely have the time.
4813: It sounds like the master is bypassing or out of fluid by what your telling me. Last edited by timebandit; 01-12-2007 at 08:05 PM. |

By the time the clutch won't work, it's dry... Yea, you should start by checking to see if you have fluid.
