Price check

I hate to ask this, but I need to sell my 4runner and I really don't know where to start as far as pricing goes.
Its an '88 4runner DLX 22rec 5spd with 206K+ miles, but it developed a rod knock and I can't repair it myself. I'm not completely sure what caused it. Also, I might as well take use of this predicament to get a newer vehicle. Apart from the rod knock, it needs shifter seat bushings because the shifter wiggles a lot by hand while in gear. There really isn't anything else wrong with it, a few of the plastic trimming pieces around the removable roof seam are broken. Its a little dirty on the inside. Theres also medium dent on the drivers front panel.
It has manual locks and windows, intermittent wipers, adjustable steering wheel, 4 new summer tires with less than 5K miles on them, and decent studded winter tires with about 15K miles or so. New cv joints and axles, shocks all around. A small rust spot forming on the tail gate and a few barely noticeable rust spots forming on the drivers door around the handle. All glass is good. Rear window works perfectly. Tranny and clutch all work perfectly. 4x4 works perfectly. Full synthetic fluids. Doesn't leak any fluids. Passed emissions with flying colors on jet packs. It also came with service records from throughout its entire life. I have a folder full of them, including the original sales receipt ($20,418.40 on jan 8, 1988).
I can't find any record of the timing chain being done, but its not noisy. The fluids all look fine. I havent had time to take the VC off to check it out, but I assume with the great care of the previous owners that it was done.

It has a Thule roof rack as well.

It also doesn't have a rear bumper..it didn't have one when I bought it and I took the rest of the trim off.

This is what it sounds like...

Any questions, please ask. Thanks

If it has a rod knock, it needs rebuilding, right? So, it's a 21 yo truck in need of a short/long block or a rebuild. Can't speak for Alaska, but in the Houston, Texas area, trucks needing that much work show up with asking prices of $1500 and lower quite often. Sometimes, a lot lower.

Yeah, its going to need rebuilding. Thats why Im selling it. I cant rebuild it myself and I cant afford to have a shop rebuild it right now. Yotas do typically go for more up here, but I was thinking of asking $1200, but obviously getting less.

I would think that if there are no significant rust issues and if the interior is intact and decent (other than dirty) that you should get what you expect, then. Hard to so, though. Have to find that guy who wants an early 4runner worthy of being saved. I read these forums often and get a little prejudiced, I think. I look at what appears to be a pretty nice truck and say to myself that it looks like a bargain, but I'm not sure that I trust my judgment. My wife sure doesn't.
