Preventative maintenence for throttle cable
I just had to replace the throttle cable and I'd read on here a "repair" once it goes bad. As you can see in the pic provided, the rubber splits and the cable goes out of adjustment. The repair I read about was to ziptie it back together. This got me thinking.
If you ziptie it ahead of time, it might prevent that rubber piece from breaking. Or if its starting to go, get a jump on trying to deal with it once it really cracks. Mine had obviously split the top part and had started splitting on the other half of the rubber area. It lasted 15 years so I can't complain too much.
