prerunner

Hey guys i am trying to get the prerunner look for my 94 toyota 4x4. I live in NC so i wont be jumping it yet i am just going for the look with glass and maybe a bumper or something. I will eventually get the total chaos gen 2 kit for it but i just want a couple ideas for now. Any help?

yeah I researched them a while back, that kit you can run 35's easy IIRC. Might look a little funny with 32's though. Someone posted up a 2WD prerunner yesterday that had 33's on it. Not sure what kit but it looked like the dan kit.

just make sure I am right about the 35's and check the backspacing on those wheels before you do. I think they have to be 3.75" backspacing.

heck you might be able to clear 38's with the TC and the glass. But it's not gonna be friendly on the CV's I wouldn't think. Steering isn't gonna be an issue though as the TC kit replaces all that stuff.

yah but they wont be any room for the suspension to compress cause of bumps and jumps

They don't but it's assumed your putting the TC kit on factory fenders. The Ivan Dan kit with factory IFS will clear 35's. Stock will to with a little work on the fenders and the right backspacing.

DO you guys realize how much room you have under the wells of the IVAN dan kit? There is no inner wells on those things. You can put the tires even with the hood if you have it set up right.

again from tc's site
Parts NOT Included: (required for install)
Coil Over Shocks
4WD T-100 axles to retain 4WD
Upper Shock Mounts
T-100 Trucks require custom 300M extended axles.
Fiberglass Fenders
you dont cut out the whole inner fender well area when you put this kit on or fiberglass fenders. the inners just get trimmed for the shock hoops.
and do you realize that that i have a tc kit on my truck and have seen the gen 2 kit on many trucks around here. unless its a race truck they dont have 35s and especially 38s

You won't be able to clear 38's with TC and glass. Just sitting there, yes. Turning, no. I rub when stuffed with 33's.

Joe where do you rub at? I just find it hard to believe that you can get a stock IFS to clear 35's with very minimal rubbing with some work on the body and 33's pretty easily. ANd they still rub with the ift a TC gives you on 33's?

it rubs because it gets a lot more compression travel then stock so the tire comes up farther into the wheel well.
