possible HUGE problem with front diff

someone please tell me that the front diff is activated or engaged through vaccum or something!

i ask this because i engage fourwheel drive and lock the hubs and i get nothing. the front driveshaft spins but nothing goes out of the front diff into the cv shafts...

i recently had to replace my engine so im hoping that something may be unpluged.

Yeah that's pretty much it, its right by the fuse box, there's a blueish and a brownish vacuum solenoid, and the have rubber vacuum lines that go down the the diff. Just experiment which goes to which of the two nipples (is that the correct term). There's only two options.
