Ha! I'm sure it will be ok. It should just wash off. This stuff is made to be stepped on and scuffed all day. What's a lil mud gona do?

you just need some fuzzy dice and curb feelers, and then you would be pimpin
have you posted your final paint pics? the shot of your mirror the paint looks good and smooth. oh, i was just kidding about the fuzzy dice, but the curb feelers could prevent a flop

I don't know, maybe with another brand. It doesn't really look spotted, it's like a charcoal black, and it has a rough feel to it. It feels pretty tough. I chose this over Herculiner, cuz I didn't want the color fading in a year or so..PLUS, it was 1/10th the cost & trouble. |

I was mostly talking about the mirror the outside trims looks awsome and im really considering trying this out... will make my decision after u show the finished product from wetsanding... but for 3 bucks cant beat it thats for sure... wonder if i can get by with one can and some tape LOL or if i can just take the plastic peace of the bumper... how did u prep for his stuff? everyone tells me nothing will stick right to the plastic...

Ya, the guy @ Walmart told me about some other stuff that is made just for plastic, I almost bought it, but they only had gloss black. I also wanted something rough like the liner, so I saw this and grabbed it. I just cleaned th e parts super good with acetone, to make sure I got all the bugs off etc. I'm sure you could use 409, windex etc. It's only been a few days, but it's holding good. Like I said, this stuff is made to be stepped on all day. The part that I'm going to wetsand & buff is the paint job on the truck. I just painted it last week. The trim and mirrors will stay as is. I think the lighting on the mirror photo made it look like that. In person it looks just like the trim..

Yup! 1 can is all I used and I still have about 1/3 left. Just to be safe, spray something else first. I sprayed an extension to my shop vac, I liked the way it felt/looked, so I gave it a go on the truck and am glad I did.

I got the stuff just for plastic (same stuff me thinks) at home depot, its held up great but cleaning it off sucks b/c you gotta scrub it a bit.

[quote=Djlarroc;50637294]Not yet buddy. I'm still planning on wetsanding the SOB, and buffing it. I'm just taking a break right now, aside from the runs, the paint came out pretty smooth. I'm hoping the wetsanding & buff will make it all better. Where are you on your paint job? You all done? Did you wetsand & buff?
no, i had to rebuild my t-case. i gonna wait till early spring after camping and trout season. you keep it up and you won't be able to call your junk, junk.

Herculiner isn't UV resistant material, so unfortunately it is going to break down and crack within a short amount of time. If you sand it, it helps protect it but still prevents the inevitable. Just something to keep in mind when dealing with that stuff.
