PLEASE help snow coming

so i put my 90 toyota 4x4 in 4 wheel drive yesterday and when i started moving there was a consistant clunking noise going with speed. i know its coming from the front end. also i have warn maunual hubs that come on the truck and are they suposed to be pointed oppisite ways of eachother? like one is facing forward and the other is facing back? also could it be cv boots or front driveshafe u joints maybe? help is greatly appriated. its about to snow this week i think and i dont want to get stuck./ thats everyone!!

try and give us more info. "clunking" could mean anything. mine sounds like crackles, but im guessing its my joints...

Check your CV's and then double check them. You may also want to consider checking your motor and tranny mounts. Sometimes if you got a motor mount, or two broke, it'll sound like your engine is gonna hop outta there.

Have you thought about the joint in the fromt DS? My old 82 did that clunking because that middle joint was never greased as is the problem on quite a few. People just do not know that there are 3 points to grease on that one joint. Not just the U joints. Gotta grease that middle joint as well.

could be one of your wheel bearings

the hubs tell you where to point them. lock is for 4whl free is for 2

U-joints. or you got a bad CV. both easy fixes. and what is this "facing inside and outside" your talking about?
