I seen a article on speed channel about that thing its really got some cool stuff to it.
It is a 4 door but the rear door handles are joined into the front door handles so it only looks like it is a 2 door but if you look at the door handle real close you can see the split for the front and rear doors.
It was built by a custom shop in cali for Toyota with a build us something cool for sema so he grafted a 4runner rear section to the front of the FJ and did some really cool wash and go interior work as well.
All the trim , roof rack , bumper trim , sliders and rims are a special designed bullet aluminum he did on his cnc just for this thing.
I believe he said this one is a 6 speed the rear door swings open to the drivers side like an old delivery sedan.
AND THE BEST PART TOYOTA MAY BUILD IT THEY WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH IT

See i was thinking the same , but I think why it could be a possibility is simply because of the name. I know it sounds dumb, but FJ Runner, or even FJ-4 seems to kinda work as a hyrid of the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser. So not even considering the appearence or the offroad prowess, the name itself sells the vehicle....
