Pick your brain!!

I need help. 2 problems unrelated.

First, replace the valve cover gaskets last weekend, and now after running down the road for a while, round 2-3k rmp, come to a stop light and the engine doesn't want to idle....

Second, just been told that I have no brake lights. Fuse good, bulbs good, got tail lights, hazards, turn signals, just no brake lights...

Comments or suggestions please.

wierd... well if it ran fine before the gasket change then more than likely something is unplugged or something similar right?

i mean a new valve cover gasket wont keep it from idling.

I know, I think though that there was a hose left undone under the plenum and I re attached it when I put it back together, maybe confusing the ecm a little now.

Try changing the bulbs on the tails anyway - Just to make sure....

I had the same trouble and both bulbs - just the brake part of the bulbs were fried and I could not see the filaments real good so I just swapped with new bulbs and wallah!!!
