Passenger side a/c vent

Hey guys,

So the temperature selector on my a/c will not adjust, i have found that this is due to a missing clip which holds the adjustor in place...in order to get to it, it seems that the dash pad needs to come off...i have searched the threads and it seems that the hardest part of this job is removing the passenger side air vent to access the 10mm bolt behind it.

My question is, how can i do this without cracking the dash or the vent? I saw the pic of the FSM on another thread and it was less than specific...I see the 4 clips that hold it in place but am not sure how to manipulate them to release the vent...Where do i pry? in between the actual vent and the vent frame? or between the vent frame and the dash? any help would be great!

Those GD metal clips are STRONG!!! Try searching for "heatercore removal" in reference to that vent. I broke my vent....like it exploded. After three junkyards I finally found a replacement.

There is a video below the Youtube video that I made that think will help explain it a little better >>>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51778558 Take your time and you have to fit a thin flat blade screw driver between the plastic and the vinyl.
