Parasitic draw drains my batt.
Got an 88 yota 22re, EFI, 4speed, 4x4 P/U with a parasitic draw draining new battery. like i said i threw in a new battery, belts, ALT., terminals. i cleaned the ground bolted to the P/S fender but it still drains overnight. I have connected a DMM set to AMPS in series with the NEG. post to terminal and got no amp reading, so i set it to a finer scale and got no AMP draw at all. I fully charged and tested the batt. as well as the ALT. its charging just fine. now i have ran the vehicle then parked it came outside and the Amber drive lights are randomly on with the switch off, so i switch the switch on then back off and they shut off. It occurs randomly, so if it were that i would have to catch it in the act right? can anyone help. Thanks.

it sounds like you found the problem circuit, tail light fuse, just need to figure out why now. Switch, relay, or wires. Don't forget to protect the battery when it will be sitting by disconnecting the negative cable.
Since it's not consistent it might take awhile to figure out. I'd suspect the switch, should be a continuity chart in the manual.

If playing with the switch changes the state of the lights (switches them off), I would say its 95% that the problem is in the switch. You might be able to take it apart and find the problem, but frankly I would start with a salvage yard search.
Disconnecting the battery (either cable is fine) is a pain in the butt (your clock will always be wrong), but deep-discharging a battery is not good for it. So I'd follow co_94's advice.
