Painless wiring kit for truck
I didn't find anything relating to my search. I'm trying to find the painless wiring kit for my '87 Toy Pickup 4x4 to replace the generally shoddy wiring already in it before putting in the newly rebuilt motor. I've searched on painless wiring website but it seems only to be geared towards Chevys and Fords. I can redo the wiring myself as an electrical tech at work but it's very time consuming to replace pins and connectors as well as trying to keep the wires organized in the process. They do seem to have a universal kit, but i was wondering if painless wiring had a total kit for our trucks.

There was a guy on here that was making and selling wiring harness for the toyota's, i cant think of his name at the moment, but i know he was playing catch up because he had a lot of orders for them, and i pretty sure they were very resonable on price, i see if i can find the post and link it here....

you could go universal, but i replaced the engine harness with one from ebay out of a wrecked pickup in about an hour, and the rest ide do myself cuz its just mainly the lights out back and the fuel sending unit

I didn't know they went out of business. No like I said I'm just trying to update some of the shoddy and broken wiring on the vehicle already. I guess I'm going to have to do it the old fashioned way and do it myself. I just hate doing electrical work at work then having to do an entire vehicle at home. It's like working away from work ya know? I can rule out a donor vehicle as I know a 20+ year old truck wiring is going to be in the same condition unless its in an old widow's garage. If that were the case I'd say screw the truck and drive the garage kept defeating the purpose of my build.

The stealership doesnt even sell 22res anymore!! So I doubt they have a harness anymore. When I was rebuilding my motor, I was curious and went to the stealership to get a price on a new one, and they said that they arent available anymore!
