Pacesetter and Automatics
I recently purchased a Pacesetter header for my '86 22re automatic. While I was installing the header the collector kept hitting on the dipstick tube for the transmission. Instead of hammering the collector in to fit, which would have been a lot, is there a fix for this problem?
I know I ordered the right one...PU 2/4 WD, 4-Runner (4 Spd, Auto) (not column shift)
84-89 2.2, 2.4L F.I./20R, 22R, RE, REC 70-1187
Since mine has overdive would that make a difference?
Yeah I know Pacesetter sucks and I have read all about fitment isssues, but I'm still a dummy and order one anyway

I guess you are talking about bending the dipstick tube? I could do that or can I use a different dipstick? I have already taken the bracket loose that attached it to the transmission and bent the crap out it but it wasn't enough.

if he IS talking about bending the dip stick tube, I'd HIGHLY recommend removing it from the truck before taking a torch to if... ATF is VERY flammable once it heats up...
