Overdrive pulley for stock alternator??

Sitting at idle (about 750 rpms), my lights dim, my blower fan slows, etc., etc. A little nudge on the accelerator to about 1200 rpms brings it back to life. Naturally, I don't want my idle that high, so I was thinking about an overdriven-sized pulley for my alternator. Thoughts? Experiences? Where would I get specs on shaft size and an equation on how much smaller a new pulley would have to be to achieve this ratio?

Changing your brake and parking lights to L.E.D.'s will solve this problem. Not only will it cost less than a pulley (maybe) it will take a big load off your alternator so it will last longer.

I did all the exterior bulbs and the cabin light in my truck and it does not dim the headlights anymore or pulse with the blinkers. Cost around $50.00

I have the problem without the lights on, too, but that would help. Ammeter still drops a lot at idle without 'em.
