Has the system be drawn down to a negative vacuum before charging.

You really need to get yourself a set of a/c manifold gauges. Without them, you are flying blind. I don't know if the a/c system on your 22re is similar to that on my 3vze. But I can tell you that the refrigerant capacity of my a/c system is 23.2-26.7 oz.

I can see how adding 12 oz could easily put you above the specs. But until you get pressure readings, you won't know anything.

yea, iv got gauges. Thats how I know its high. It sits at about 70psi while running. I was guessing a clog. Actually I think my accumulator is full. The system has been open for about a year, thats a lot of moisture. So Im gonna swap that for a new one, evacuate and re-cahrge.

Your low pressure side is at 70? What pressure is your high side holding?

with the a/c running, you might get the high side up past 250 lbs, depending on ambient temp. 70 sounds like a static pressure reading. if you have 70 on the high side while the compressor is running, either you are low on freon, or your compressor aint making no pressure.
