I've been searching a LOT.. and finally decided to go with TRD Parts4U's lift Option #2.

It's basically almost a 2" lift using BJ spacers and OME 901 rear coils. It comes with OME N98 front shocks and OME N72F rear shocks.

Lets say I end up installing the lift.. and later deciding I want to crank the t-bars another inch and install a 1" coil spacer. Do I now need longer shocks.. or will the supplied OME shocks have enough travel?

Where is there a place I can find the difference between OME N72F shocks and OME N71E shocks? I am having a helluva time finding any listing of OME's shocks for a '90 4Runner. It seems that they're just kinda picked out for you.

Are they all a uniform length - but just stiffer or softer than one another?

N71E are rear shocks for a 80 Series Land Cruiser. The N72F is a 2nd gen 4Runner shock.

Wow.. thanks. That pretty much covers it. I don't really know how I missed that one????

I wonder if you could get away with the land cruiser shocks because they would give you about 3" extra travel. OME won't answer my questions via email.

That would be nice. I could use the extra travel if I lift it a tad more. I kinda want to know if the N72F will work even if I lift it more????

Will the 3" of extra travel be a bad thing in any way... like will there be 3" that I lose somewhere else?

You might compress the shock too much and cause it to leak as the shock might be too long. Have a look at this thread, there are pictures of how close the shock comes to fully collapsing- about 1.75" away, when fully loaded.
