Oil pan clearance
Hey guys....Can anyone tell me what the clearance needs to be between the oil pan and '89-95 IFS front axle? Just enough to fit, or should there be a couple inches between the two.
If your curious, I'm doing a Chevy v8 (383) swap. Making my own motor mounts. Low profile Chevy oil pan.

I want to say mine only has 1 to 1 1/2" clearance. Are you using a through bolt style of motor mount? Something that if the rubber/polyurethane wears out the engine couldn't settle more than 1/2" or so?

OH yeah....good point. didnt think of that. The motor mounts are bolt-on from the donor truck, and i'll weld them to the toy frame. And yeah, theyre rubber....and used.
