Oil leak at drive flange?

I have to do my U joints, and when I finally got the bolts that hold the drive line to the flanges on the trans and the rear end and got the drive line down, I had oil dripping out of the center of the flange on the trans. Is this something normal to see, or do I have to dig into the flange and replace a seal?

By the way, it's a 89 4x4, 22RE.
