Ohhhh noo way!
I couldnt help myself. I was at pick-a-part the other day, I came across a MINT 2000ish f150, I guess the motor was blown or something but I had to have my pick.
I was on my way after paying $8.50
I love it!!!
Wiring was super easy thanks to the writeup in the tech section.. A little tighter fit then the 2nd gen. I also dont have a stock bumper to hide them behind.
It all fits, and I didnt need anything but a relay and some wiring. I used the toyota horn bracket with a few bends, same with the ford mount. All mounts to the factory location. The relay gets hidden behind the horn in the attempt of keeping it somewhat dry...
So worth the $10 to do this mod!

sweet! anything is better than the meep meep of the stock horn.......

does the horn use the body as a ground? and can you post the link of the writeup you used, i cant find it for some reason.

Hahah!! I have been running with my horn unhooked for the past 5 months. My horn button kept falling off so I just removed the fuse and didnt think about it. I never used that stupid horn when it was hooked up anyways!!!
I can get you guys a sound clip, but you will have to wait for it. Next week sometime, I dont have a camera that records sound...
The horns (like most domestic) Are just a simple power and self grounding.
You need to tap into the stock wiring, I just cut off the connector and wired everything in.

Heres how the horns are positioned.
I also forgot to mention, if you do it this way, dont forget to sand off the paint on the factory little bracket. Or the horn won't ground.

i just picked up a set of horns out of a buddies Scion tC that was totaled (R.I.P) and am looking forward to getting them installed...

Years ago a guy I worked with had a 94 Toyota. One day I honked the horn on the big bad Ford work truck we had and it sounded like a sad, sick little girl. WTF? Then the guy told me he swapped horns with his Toyota haha.

I hate the toyota horn. I guess its a sort of anger management deal from toyota. If you honk the gay little horn nobody will take you seriously, so you don't use the horn 
Easily fixed though

the best stock horn i know of is out of a caddilac eldorado. like a 98. sounds like a mac truck.
(i went searching for a cadi horn and could only find a civic with a cadi horn)

That's what I have except I bought it back when they included a viair compressor and a higher quality solenoid. It's my favorite part of the truck.

Wow... I feel let down. I was hoping it was either a powerstroke diesel... or a set of full powered bucket seats.
But horns? You keep the stock horn... and add air-horns for those peeps that don't get the first beep.

Pshhh A 5.0 would be nice, but a lexus 4.0L would be nicer
I want to get airhorns, but at least this is something I can use all the time and not be embaressed...
