OEM Toyota ball joint part # question

Anybody have a clue why Toyota uses 4 different part numbers for the ball joints, since both uppers (LH & RH) should be identical and both lowers (LH & RH) should be identical. Is it just a Toyota thing?

43360-39085, UPR BALL, LH
43350-39085, UPR BALL, RH
43340-39245, LWR BALL, LH
43330-39835, LWR BALL, RH
94 sr5 4x4 xtcab v6

Toyota puts a left and right tag on just about everything they possibly can. Whether they're the same or not. That plus the fact that 2 of those part #s are for 2WD and 2 are for 4WD.

Case closed.

MudHippy, reopen case!!!!

That is what I come up with using vehicle specific VIN at both Toyota Motor Parts, and Toyota Online Parts

Which are showing being 2wd and 4wd?

Got any #'s to share?

I want to get this stuff ordered.....

Cheers

Brain fart...sorry. That's not entirely true. They're all 4WD actually. I just wasn't seeing them all.

And I actually came up with a 5th part # too. 43330-39315 which was replaced by 43330-39835.

So...other than the lack of reasoning for the left and right thing(which I swear makes no sense...usually), that all makes perfect sense. To Toyota at least.

Awesome, had me a little worried there. so at least I know I'm not crazy it's Toyota

I didn't bother to list 43330-39315 since it was shown as being replaced by 43330-39835.

Getting ready to do a front end overhaul:
Control arm bushings
Ball joints
Idler arm
Tie rod ends
Wheel bearings
Steering knuckle bushings
Half shaft boots
Seals, dust/grease for knuckles & half shafts
Trying to use as many Toyota parts as I can so wanted to get that order right the first time!!!

Thanks for the help!!!

Cheers
Andy
