OBX header on a 88 22re
Has anyone done this? The header is listed for 90-95, and they don't seem to sell one for older 22re's. I know this question was asked before but no one answered.
Other companies sell 22re headers for 85-95 so I'm thinking this will work?? Thing is darn cheap...

i don't know if your header idea will work. but i wiil tell you this, if a header is "darn Cheap". don't buy it, it will give you headaches the whole time it's on the truck. that's what my pacesetter header did on my 2.7 tacoma. save your money and get a good brand like an LC Engineering header

They make one for an older 22re. Another member just picked one up, and sent it right back because of a warped flange. The seller said all 16 of his flanges were the same. Just saying.
My LCE has never leaked.

I think you guys channeled something for me with the avoid-the-obx vibes. I checked craigslist just after posting this and found a new trail-gear header for about the price of the obx. just picked it up and this thing is sweet. i'd say as nice as the thorley i had a few trucks back and a nice, straight, half inch flange. and they really do include everything you need in the kit.
