OBD2 Scan tool Recomendations

Does anyone know of a scan tool for 95 and older 4runners. There are tons for 96 and up. I sure would like to know why my check engine light is on.

To get codes from Gen 2, you short two slots in the little diagnostic terminal with a paperclip. Turn the key, and count ho wmany times the light flashes.

Yes, there is a scantool for pre-OBD-II vehicles. I spent many hours developing one, now I can announce this new product to all the owners of pre-96 trucks. If you PayPal me $99, I'll ship you one. Here's what it looks like:

It's a shame you can't use this tool on later vehicles, it take no batterys, always works, fits in your ashtray.

Read all about it here __________________ 1990 4runner 3.0, ISR mod, Taurus E-Fan on Hayden fixed-temp controller, Aisin hubs, super-flow cat. 19 mpg hwy. My e-fan install: smashed and beat the stock fan hub off of the water pump cover bracket using brute force and good luck, then ground down the nose of the bracket for belt clearance, then reinstalled the bracket with 3 of its 4 bolts, and switched to shorter belts for PS and ALT: Goodyear belts #9463 & #4040410. Then installed Taurus e-fan and Hayden controller.
