O2 Sensor Replaced for Free?

I have a 92' 4runner 3vze. I was reading in the owners manual that when the O2 sensor is malfunctioning you should bring the vehicle back to the dealer for replacement for free. Has anyone else done this? I just bought a new one then read this so I haven't installed it yet. Anyone? Thanks.

theres only one way to find out if it works. take it to the dealer and show them the book and tell them you want your free o2 sensor

lmao. nice. i guess that'll make it a little less expensive after the seafoam treatment, just in case it starts to malfunction or something. i can get a new one for free. woo

Oxygen sensor

Replace the oxygen sensor when scheduled. Your Toyota dealer will make this replacement (parts and labor) at no cost to you.

i heard about this about a year ago and folks were saying that Toyota no longer honored the warranty. Still might as well go to the dealer and check it out.

Sure enough it's there, only it's on page 158 on 90 model.

Imagine:

All over the US a dozen or so people rushed out to their trucks to read the manual.
