Northwest Off-Road Quality

So, the passenger side rear is sagging somewhat. Suffice it to say I nead a new or new rear springs.

I'm NOT buying anything from NWOR ever again. This paticular right rear spring clunked and clanged since day one since I put it in back in 1998, nomatter how I torqued the fasteners or how much I greased/lubbed it. I heard the loudest clang last week pulling up the curb in the lane coming home! These rear springs have about 60,000 miles with virtually zero hauling/towing/off-road use -- the truck became my daily driver after university.

I should note I took the shortest leaf out a year ago in an attempt to reduce the ride hight (THREE INCHES higher out back -- 900 lbs. in the bed to level it back to normal). Also, to improve the ride -- brutally stiff! It still is brutally stiff.

The JC Whitney springs look good. Anyone have any luck with them? Local spring shops want too much (as I've found out). What other options are there?

I wish you had asked. There is a reason NWOR is known as "No Warranty Or Returns". There's a great many folks who will do without rather than risk running their stuff.

Also, by the way... you are likely to find J.C. Whitless products to be equally hit or miss. Once in a while you will find something worth running, but you will have to sift through the throw-aways to get there.

Yeah avoid NWOR at all costs! That is unless you enjoy being ripped off.

More like non-service. The reps are all cheery-cheery when you're ordering their crap, but good luck talking with them after the fact. Not knowledgable and just plain rude.

....remember, I took out the bottom most shortest leaves from both sides in an attempt to level the poor truck (arse up in the air) and to try and soften the ride -- look at the upper bump stops. They're dirty. The rear suspension with these springs hasn't bottomed out in eight years! I can take out the rubber thingies, they won't touch anyway!

So they originally had four, but what kind of "Replacement Spring" lifts a truck 3" in the back??
