No spark
I have a 92 Toyota pickup 4x4 with a v6 3.0 engine in it. I pulled my motor out because it was burning oil. I ended up buying a new motor. When I put that motor on connected everything the way I took the old one off and it has no spark. I checked the resistance to distributor and according to the book it's correct. I check the resistance on my coil and that also is good. The only thing i didn't check is my igniter because the book does show you how to. Can someone please help me?

Are both engines out of the same year same transmission ??
Could it be possible the ecu`s are different it would only take a few wires to be different even if the plugs fit.
Loose or corroded connection some place.
Something not plugged in??
Missing a ground some place??

All the wires fit the way it did with my old engine. They didn't seem loose or corroded. All the grounds seem to be connected.
