no power until 2500-3000
91 4runner 3.0 V6 manual w/321,000 miles on original motor...
I've owned this truck for about ten months now. Obviously the terrible gas mileage is one thing. However, I've been noticing that I've got little power until 2500 and then I get a "boost", if you will.
I'm wondering if this is common on the 3.0's, especially with as many miles as mine has. Or if this is more of a problem with the distributor not advancing correctly. If anyone has come across this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My truck's got 270,000 on it and it's pretty well taken care of and mine does the exact same thing except it doesn't get going until around 2700. I've heard other people say the same thing so I'd say it's normal.

just replace the PCV valve on the passenger side valve cover I heard your suppose to do that every couple of years. And if you take the plenum off and clean the gunk out of it, it really helps
