No Power At All - Help
I bought an 86 Runner last week and have begun restoration. After working on it all week I decided to take it to the local foothills to see what would shake loose. Unfortunately something did and I am hoping this problem sounds familiar and someone can point me to potential solutions.
I pounded the crap out the truck and dunked in 3' deep puddles and it performed great. The only obvious damage was I put a 45 degree bend on the rear bumper I installed the day before. So on the way home I stopped at a turnout to take a break. When we got back in the truck I could not get power to anything. No windows, no ignition lights no nothing. I ended up getting towed home.
I checked all connections and wd-40'd them. I swapped the battery, checked the battery cables, fuses, removed and tested the ignition. Still no power to anything. I don't know if the off roading and muddy water bath have anything to do with the problem or not.
Since I don't have a lot experience with this truck I would appreciate your suggestions for troubleshooting.(starter? Ignitor?, brain?). Thanks in advance.

Check the batter terminals again.
mine had a wing nut on the positive side terminal that got corroded. I took it apart and cleaned it and that fixed the problem.
