New Toy! 91 4runner build (or rebuild)

Ok I'm fairly new to this site and so far am loving it here. Lil history, I recently traded my metal carport for a 91 runner with 237,000 mi and a blown HG on the 3VZE. Its in almost perfect condition with only a small tear in the drivers seat and armrest. Gonna just do the top end for now and later swap in a 5.0L & C4, but for now just the top end, got everything torn apart and cleaned up. Started putting it all back together and got one head back on and last head bolt and guess what happened? Yep the last bolt and last 90 degrees and pop! Bolt on outside corner of head let go, block threads. Da*n always has to be something!! Any opinions on this bolt, this one need to be to same torque as other head bolts? Also pics to be added soon.

Congratulations on the new toy. I can't speak from experience about the head bolt, but here's a bump. Maybe somebody will chime in.

I'm interested in the 5.0, though. Post pics. Good luck with the current engine and the new build!

Anyone got any idea's on this bolt problem? Does it really need to be torqued the same as the rest of the head bolts?
