New tires, help me decide
Okay, the BFG allterrains havent lasted very long on my truck (about 15k miles). And I am looking to get some new tires. My truck pretty much isnt driven on the road very much just to and from the mudding spots. And I was looking for some new tires. What do you suggest. I think I can squeeze some 33-10.50s on there and I want a good mud tire.
I was looking at the superswamper bogger, or the radial TSL. What do you think. I want a really extreme mud tire, and I want to get into some crawling!

well, from what ive seen/heard the boggers cant rly be beat for mud. if ur not going to be driving road at all other than short spurts id say thats the route u should take.
i sure do wish i had a "just for fun" truck. lol lucky.

I'd go with the tsl's personally. Not sure how boggers would do behind a 22re and the mud. Don't think you'll dig deep, but not sure how well you'll be able to clean them either. Boggers up front in the mud can be hard to steer as well once your in the muck.

BFG M/T <> (does not equal) extreme mud tire
Bogger = EXTREME mud tire
Yes, you should be able to fit 33x10.50, but what's the mud like there? If you need more width, they come in a 31x12.50, if you need more clearance (and who doesn't? LOL) then go with the 33x10.50.
My next recommendation after the Bogger would be the LTB.

The other thing with the boggers and the ground hawgs are that they're a directional tire. Work great going forwards but going backwards not as well. You could put the front tires on with the tread facing backwards (for reverse bite) and the backs forward as normal. Then just carry a normal spare tire.

that is true, but even if you are going backwards they are going to get more than enough bite. I do agree though that being directional is a drawback because you cannot rotate your tires normally. Also you cannot have a spare of the same tire because you dont know if you are going to blow a left side or right side tire. EWAY you know what i mean, we both have Geolander M/ts.

I like the Yoko's for what I've done with them so far. Done well in mud, done well in the little rocks that I've been on with them and well in sand. Snow is fun with them. It would be nice to put some more power behind them with 4.88's or 5.29's and see how much better they would do cleaning but I don't know if that will happen with this set.

Boggers do just dandy going reverse in the mud even though they're "directional" tires. The thing you forget is that boggers are paddle design tires. You turn a paddle around and yeah it may not do as good as going forward, but its still better than using a spoon!

They didnt last that long, because I have a bad habit of spinning the tires around corners!! But the most I would drive is around town...and maybe to the beach every once and a while. I have my camry to drive daily, but the truck is still my favorite money pit!! I dont want the ground hawgs, I dont like the looks really. But I want a swamper for sure...TSL or Bogger!! 33-10.5 15s for now. Anyone know the price difference for both?
