New shocks
Well the shocks are finally unbearable on my 4runner now. I am running stock suspension setup, but do have plans for BJ spacers and cruiser coils down the road. What shocks would you recomend for a upgrade. Rancho? Bilstein? OME?

When I first got my Rancho shocks, I was really happy with 'em. Part of that was probably because it was the first actual mod I did to my truck. I would run them if my truck was a bit heavier (around 6-8K).... They just feel like crap IMHO.

Bilsteins seem to be the best shock out there. But reading some other posts, guys down in the states are getting the shocks for $65 a corner. I was at the auto parts store today and they have to order them in at a price of $163/corner. Are they maybe looking up a different shock than I'm reading about?

Im just wondering if there are different levels of shocks that will fit into the truck? because a $100 difference just because it's online is rediculas. Will the bilsteins everyone seems to be getting work when I get cruiser coils in the back, bj spacers and low pro bumps up front?

You can get Bilsteins on Ebay for $245 front & rear shipping is free. You can order them at Autozone for $59 per shock, they don't have them in stock so it'll take a day or two to arrive. I just bought two front Bilsteins from them & put them on Saturday, they feel great so far, really improved the feel & ride.

I just had Monroe SensaTrac's installed front and rear. I also installed MOAG springs in the rear. A major improvement in the ride quality. The Monroe's have a lifetime replacement.

I bought some edelbrock shocks from summit for 15.50$ each got the front ones installed last night and I am about to go do the rear ones right now.
they have to be better than the 11 year old trail masters that where on the truck.
ran ranchos on my F150 they where real nice for about 6 months the truck did ride that nice at all

would the ebay bilsteins be able to handle BJ spacers, cruiser coils and low pro bump stops?
A local has a set of 14" travel bilstein shocks. Would those work for stock right now? or would they require lift?
