New seat belts

I know these may be a bit of over kill but I got them for $50 because in New Jersey every two years if you run a race car the belts have to be changed out and the guy I got these from was about to swap them out because the are dated 4-08 and he has some new replacements (he is a dealer for crow racing products) and was going to sell them on craigslist or e-bay for a few bucks.

What do you think overkill or not?

they will be going into the 93 full SAS

just debating if I should get some of them Racing style seats to put in or what I am thinking is run the two should belts through the headrests and bolt them into the floor or build a bar that runs the length of the rear and mount that to the floor and the harness's to the bar.

Any thoughts or better idea's?

I would get some sick seats to go with them, or some seats covers at least, but that's just me.

get some nike seats... just do it.

Those things are badass. Gives ur runner more HP because you add cool harnesses. But man, those things keep you from jostling... i tried out my friends, and you barely move, kinda cool, but it gets uncomfortable / stiff after a while. If this is your hardcore rig go for it, but if you plan on doing normal driving in it, hopefully you can use a normal seatbelt.

I am thinking of keeping the stock ones for daily driving and the 5 points for off roading both installed and you decide what one you want to use but I think that maybe to crowded also looking at these seats for replacements

these will fit the 5 points real well and are supposed to be very comfortable got the lumbar and adjustibility of a high end sports car i.e. Porsche Recaro seat's.

Install the belts but keep your stockers also. In CA those belts are not DOT approved (I dunno what your laws are), I use my stockers on the street, and trail rides. I clip my 5 points for crawling.

Here was my install guidlines, and should be yours as well.

from everything i have read, seen, and heard, you should NOT run 5 points in a offroad truck unless you are fully caged. in the event of a roll over the 5 points will hold you in place but they will not allow you to duck down to the middle of the cab if the roof crushes in and then all that weight gets put on your head and neck.

Good point, on the cage. I can't move with my 5 points. I have a partial exo, and an interior rollbar.

Make sure the shoulder belts are not just bolted to the floor. You need to bolt them perpendicular to your posistion, or at least have a pivot. If not, when they lock down its gonna pull your back down.

I looked at that yesterday and ya I will use that as a guide just kind of wondering about the 10degree for the front one.

So you run both in the truck hows that work for you I am thinking about doing that myself

I just got done trying to install the first one and with the stock seats the shoulder straps are to short so how did you mount yours? Maybe the truck seat is shorter the the 4runner seats?

Well I run Accord seats, I have a bar welded between my roll bar, about shoulder height. Seats are modified to accept the anti sub. belt. Shhh, I am running about 15*. Its my spine and I'll do with my way. I am sure I'll roll it again soon , so I'll keep you updated.
