Unhappy New To Me 95 PU 3.0 BAD MISS- HELP?

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Toyota's in general.. my dad had one I drove back in the late 70's, ran perfect.

I just had one near given to me a few days ago. It's a 95 4x4 PU, 5spd and 3.0 V6. The previous owner was not a mechanic at all and told me it had a miss but then he said he hadn't done anything but drive it to work the last several years and had never changed the plugs or anything. The truck has 245,000 miles on it and he said that when he bought it, they had just put a new timing belt on it... that was four or five years ago. He said it's had kind of a miss on one cylinder since thy put the timing belt on.

I changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It starts right up, has decent oil pressure but... it still has a nasty miss..and power is pretty low kinda sounds like a burnt or a stuck valve but there is no top end noise or valve train rattle. I've heard these engines are a real PITA to set valve clearance on. The engine does run a little better when it's fully warmed up but still has some miss.

I work as a service tech in a Case IH dealership but after wrenching all day.. last thing I wanna do is tear into the top end of a motor I'm not familiar with...any suggestions or tips I may have overlooked here?...Thanks
